The Libifem® patent

Libifem® is a patented raw material based on fenugreek extract recommended for:

Libifem® is obtained from fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seeds through a special extraction process and is highly titrated (50 percent) in Phenuside. In their traditional use, fenugreek seeds are well known for the treatment of asthenia, hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia but, over time, through various clinical studies, their use in supporting female sexual health and in the reduction of menopausal symptoms has also been established due to the presence of steroidal saponins that promote libido, sexual vitality and desire in women.

Libifem® has also been shown to be active in glucose metabolism, significantly reducing fasting and postprandial blood sugar. The effects of Libifem® on menopause.

The nature and severity of menopausal symptoms vary substantially between women, generally occurring between the ages of 40 and 58 and persisting for a duration of 5 to 8 years. Among the most troublesome complaints are vasomotor complaints, i.e., hot flashes and night sweats, which can affect up to 80% of women.

Most clinical research in recent years has focused on the use of phytoestrogens, as an alternative to hormone therapy, for the management of menopausal symptoms. The use of these 100% naturally derived substances has yielded surprising results.

In particular, Trigonella foenum - graecum is a traditional herb, very rich in phytoestrogens, used since ancient times for its pharmaceutical effects including: antimicrobial, antilipidemic, cholesterol-lowering, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective and hypoglycemic.

Below are the most representative outcomes.

After a period of taking Libifem®, standardized Trigonella foenum-graecum seed extract was found to increase serum estradiol levels, improve sexual function and quality of life in healthy menstruating women.

While with regard to menopausal symptoms, it has shown that the extract is safe and effective in reducing both the number and intensity of symptoms.

Following a 12-week intake period of Libifem® there was a significant reduction in menopausal symptoms, particularly hot flashes and night sweats (Figure 2), in the control group taking Libifem®, compared with the placebo group.

Another important aspect is that no gastrointestinal complaints, such as flatulence and bloating, emerged from taking Libifem®.

The other patents of Libistrong® WOMAN Over 50

Actiful® is a patented raw material based on 2 natural extracts, Orange and Pomegranate, with a high concentration of active ingredient. Actiful® has been shown to significantly improve Flow -Mediated Dilation (FMD), which is the ability of the artery to dilate as blood flow increases. This results in increased blood flow capacity resulting in increased oxygen supply during physical and sexual activity.

Also in the formulation of Libistrong® WOMAN Over 50 is the patented Lifenol®.A solid extract of female flowers of hops (Humulus lupulus L.) that due to the presence of one of the most important known phytoestrogens8-prenylnaringenin present in low amounts and one of its precursors isoxantoumulone particularly present in hops, is effective in alleviating menopausal and premenopausal disorders. In particular, Lifenol® has been shown to reduce the number of hot flashes and night sweats in menopausal women.

The action of the Lifenol® patent is also supported by numerous studies. One of the most significant concerns the positive action of the patent onestrogenic activity, in comparison with a soy extract, titrated to 3.5 percent isoflavones, and a common hop extract. Trifored® the last patent, but not least, included in the formula by the TN Pharma Research & Development Team. Trifored® is a dry extract of flowers and leaves of red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) titrated to 8% isoflavones . It is the high titer of isoflavones that favorably affects the nervous system and characteristic flushes. The extract is also rich in phytoestrogens, coumarins, and glycosides with which other significant benefits are associated to alleviate menopausal symptoms.
